Summertime in Qatar typically means trying to avoid the humid heat that accompanies the season, with many people choosing to spend it indoors or abroad to escape.
However, for those who choose to stay, Regency Sealine Camp is a desert camp hotel just an hour’s drive from the city center that you may want to put on your radar.
I spent one night at Regency Sealine Camp, and in this blog post, I’ll share my experience at the property over a weekend.
Disclaimer: My one-night stay at the property was free of charge in exchange for this review and a video reel promoting their summer package promotion. How to Spend A Layover in Doha
Getting to Regency Sealine Camp
With the property located about an hour away from Doha’s city center, arriving at Regency Sealine Camp requires some preparation beforehand to ensure a smooth arrival.
I took an Uber to the Al Meera Sealine Roundabout, which was the meeting point given to me by staff members to meet a company vehicle that would take me to the Camp. My Uber cost around 100 QAR ($27.47).
Once I arrived at the roundabout, a 4×4 car was waiting for my friend and me, and took us on a beautiful 15-minute drive to the Camp, gliding over dunes and witnessing points where the sea indeed did meet the desert before we arrived at the entrance.

Checking Into Regency Sealine Camp
Once we arrived at the camp entrance, our bags were placed on a wheeled cart to prevent sand from tracking in, and we were escorted to the lobby, where the check-in process began.
As the person whose name was listed on the booking, I was asked to present identification, and my room key was then handed to me. The manager also provided me with his business card and assured me that it was okay to reach out if I needed anything during my stay.

Food at the Regency Sealine Camp
The main restaurant on the property is the Sahara Restaurant, which is open 24 hours a day and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

Serving Arabian and international cuisine from various corners of the world, the Sahara Restaurant offers a diverse dining experience that blends traditional flavors with global favorites, all set against a beautiful desert backdrop.

The restaurant offers an extensive buffet during its mealtimes or provides you with the option of selecting dishes from its à la carte menu.

Choosing from the menu appeared to be a more affordable option, depending on your selection. Still, I highly recommend the buffet option, as I was incredibly impressed with its offerings, and the food was delicious.
My friend even mentioned that she would be willing to go back for the food alone.

Would I Stay Again?
Yes, I would! My stay at Regency Sealine Camp was a great experience—it was a great place to relax and recharge over the weekend.
A 2-night stay at the property is the perfect amount of time to get refreshed and make lasting memories without feeling rushed.
The only thing I’d caution against is visiting on a particularly windy day, as strong winds can make the environment less comfortable and may lead to some activities being unavailable for safety reasons.
