Food Bloggers to Follow in Accra
Before I dive in, Accra has so many talented and passionate food bloggers who do an amazing job at showcasing the Accra food scene and will keep you updated on new restaurants in Accra, menu options, pricing, and more!
Here are a few food bloggers in Accra I recommend following to stay updated:
Bella Afrik – Osu
Bella Afrik is a lively Italian restaurant serving up authentic dishes from the country while immersing you in a boho tropical-themed outdoor atmosphere. It’s no surprise that Bella Afrik is #1 on my list, as I visited the place for the first time in November and have been back two times since. This is actually one of my favorite restaurants in Accra at the moment.
The ingredients are sourced from Italy, and you can taste the authenticity with every bite! The staff at Bella Afrik are always in great spirits, have high energy, and provide great customer service.
Price: $$$ – The prices at Bella Afrik are a lot higher than what is average for Accra. In USD or euros, it will be standard, but this is considered one of the more expensive restaurants in the city.

Starbites – East Legon, Airport, School Junction, + more
Starbites is a casual dining restaurant in Accra that serves a little bit of everything. Starbites is a popular restaurant in Accra with several locations across different neighborhoods. There are different types of Starbites. Some are smaller locations with an “express/grab-and-go” style, so be sure to visit one of the full-service restaurants like East Legon.
The menu is more on the intercontinental side but always has plenty of options to choose from. You can find the menu for Starbites here.

La Gardenia – Cantonments
La Gardenia is the newest outdoor garden restaurant in Accra.
A French-style courtyard restaurant, La Gardenia is stunning and one of the best restaurants in Accra I have been to in a very long time.
Everything from the service to the flowery posh decor is done very well.
Serving brunch on weekends, Taco Tuesday, and dinner on select days during the week, this is a place you’ll want to dress up to come to and catch up with your friends.

Vine Restaurant – Airport City
Vine is a Latin-inspired restaurant with a primarily international menu. It’s also easily one of Accra’s prettiest and aesthetically-pleasing venues. Vine is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner but known to be more of a brunch spot. Its beautiful light wooden structures and canopy seating immediately grab your attention as you walk through the doors.
Trust me when I say this is where you’ll want to come looking cute for great pictures!
Although the place is known for brunch, its brunch menu is hosted on specific days, so be sure to check the Instagram and menu frequently.

Pinnochio & La Piazza are Italian restaurant branches in Accra that are 2-in-1 dinner and dessert establishments. Pinnochio is the restaurant’s ice cream and gelato section, while La Piazza serves delicious coal-fired pizza, pasta, bread, small sides, and more.
Pinnochio & La Piazza has the best pizza and ice cream in Accra (in my humble opinion)! The food has always been consistent, earning it a spot on my list!

Buka Restaurant – Osu
Buka Restaurant is where you’ll want to go for your first taste of traditional Ghanaian food if you can’t get to a chop bar fast enough!
Serving Accra since 2003, Buka is a great entry into staple Ghanaian foods. From soup to stews, and even dishes that you may find difficult to try, like red-red as a first-time visitor to Accra, are served at Buka. The setting of Buka is open-air and has a warm atmosphere with plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs (I recommend sitting upstairs!).

Pan and Cook isn’t necessarily a restaurant, but a spot I would recommend visiting for a quick snack or some dessert!

Tatale – Osu
Tatale is where plant-based dining meets Ghanaian dishes. A vegan restaurant in Accra, if you’re looking for a healthy and refreshing meal, this is your place! Although I’m not vegan, I am a frequent customer of Tatale because of how great the food makes me feel.
It’s interesting to see Ghanaian meals, which are often meat-heavy and contain dairy, be made with a vegan twist.

Honeysuckle Pub & Restaurant – East Legon, Airport, Labone, Osu
The Honeysuckle establishments are essentially a place where people can go to enjoy great eats and the latest sports games on big screens. If there is a big match happening, Honeysuckle may be one of the best places in Accra to watch it.
If you aren’t a big sports watcher like me, go for the food! The vibes at nighttime are very chill and relaxed. Honeysuckle is known for having amazing wings, and the food, in general, is great!
